The chicken is not tasty. No heat even though I ordered a very hot chicken for the first time.
The sauce is very very salty which is disgusting. I find no difference between the hot sauce, and the very hot sauces. They are simply salty.

I had Nando’s chicken once. It was burnt black on the outside and was bloody at the bone. Yuck! If you want eat bad-tasting chicken and pay nearly twice as much for it as other chicken places go to Nando’s.

Was the worst food experiance i’ve ever had, people were rude. Portion was tiny conisdering I paid alot for it. The chicken was dry and horrible and nothing was fresh. Never eating there again.

I’ve eaten in many different Nandos restaurants in the UK due to the natur eof my job. I live in London but had a trip to Scotland. Went to Nando in Springfield Quay, Lanarkshire yesterday and was disguested a the poor cutomer service and quality of food. I was with my colleague and we both ordered. I ordered a half chicked with 2 side. Our food came in around 10 minutes. I started eating the first quater of mt chicken it di did not taste right. I felt uncoked and the meat was not white. So i started on the other quater and again it was not right. I took it back to complain. The guy at the counter assured me it was cooked and it put in the oven etc and tested. Trust me it was not cooked. He agreed to cook me another quater as a replacement. I agreed. Then i waited for a good 20 mins until someone came to my table to clear it as my colleage had finised. I highlioghted it to two members of staff that who did nothing about it. Eventually after waiting a further 25 mins I went to the counter to ask wahts happening and the guy said I’m sorry we thought it was to take away its been waiting here for you. The apoligiesed and said they will give me a full chicken instead. I told then its almost 11pm I need to get back, the rest of my food is cold now so just give me a half and pack it to take away. I went and sat down again. Another member of staff came and took my suases away and started taking the rest of my food away. I told her I have not fished yet! Anyway 10 more minutes of waiting a guy came with a plate with a full chicken on. I said I wanted it packed..... he took it away and then finally 10 mins later came back with it in take away bag. A complete and utter toilet. On hearing several colleagues waxing lyrical about this dump I decided to satisfy my curiosity by giving it a go. I was greeted by a menu featuring mid-high end prices which increased my expectations somewhat (to admittedly, still pretty low levels).. Low and behold Nandos plundered to new depths with its Chicken Burger which resembles a scraggy piece of vermin coated in a bland completely unrecommendable sauce. All of which I had the pleasure of walking up to the counter to order myself. And get my own cutlery. And sauces. And drinks. For 33 quid. Toilet. Avoid.

I will not be eatting in nandos again as last week when celebrating that my cousin had passed her first year of uni My cousin and her boyfriend were verbally attacked by a manager for apprently making a memeber of staff they had never spoken to cry. She wouldnt come out and identify them and the manager was very unprofessional and practically started on my cousins boyfriend. When asked to watch the cctv to show they had had no contact with this memeber of staff she was still hostile and said she would do so and that my cousin could come and see it. Next day she phoned and said she had seen the cctv and saw that this had taken place but refused to let my cousin view the tape (because she was lying) my cousin has made a massive complaint and it is getting investigated however at the price that nandos is i will not be eatting there again if it is possible that a manager will coemover and tr and start a fight with you in the middle of a store without even having you identified by a supposed memember of staff its absolutely ridiculous!!!

I just found a long piece of hair with a bobble of fluff on the end in my veggie burger in nandos streatham hill. I was then violently sick, for psychological reasons rather than food poisoning. grotesque.

I’ve never eaten Nando’s before - so they’ll never be a first time. Having seen those commercials, I am pretty disgusted. Nando’s were also handing out free Nando’s chicken and condoms (not sure which is worse) at a local university orientation day. There’s something decidedly wrong about this company.

I went to my local Nandos recently and had a very bad exprience. I found food stored in open metal tins and staff having fake nails with nail varnish. They gave me the wrong food and was told that they don't have certain product. I made a complaint via their website and still waiting for a reply. The staff is very rude and they dont know how to treat their customers. Will never eat in nados again.. !

My son works for the sleaze balls at Nando’s - he was hired at a certain rate and when finally received his paycheque was paid HALF of what he was promised! To top it all - the bastard deducted nearly another half for ’tax’!!! When finally my son received a PAYG summary - it did not even tie up with his ’payroll advice’ - which you can hardly call that since it lacked the most basic info recorded on a payroll advice!

I work for nandos, it's been 3 months and I cant take it anymore! The pay is ridiculous, I get loads of cleaning duties, even toilets. I'm fed up with this restaurant. I never thought it would be so horrible.

The customers are served with no respect and are spoken to like dogs. Staff laughed about the fact my food was 2 hours late and also burnt and over cooked. I didnt feel welcome and was made to get things I wasnt meant to by myself with no assistance. The attitude of staff in Swansea nandos stinks. Others have had similar problems. I will be going to the papers! I dont ever want to eat there again. Also I was with a customer who hadnt been to nandos and the person was angry with the way the staff where treating me.

I feel like it’s a scam to pay so much for a meal when the service is so bad at nandos. The cashiers don’t speak English and aren’t appologetic when I complained about getting an order wrong. and why have other items like salad or rice on the menu? You still give me chips when I order a salad on the side. Customer service is better at KFC & Oporto...and the food is cheaper too.

I bought nandos for the first and last time about 6 years ago. The chicken was still slimy and bloody. I absolutely detest their sick, adverts that are always of a sexual nature and degrading to women. The latest one in South Africa especially been broadcast now during the soccer world cup "take off your tops, and do it for your country" - showing women about their lives but all topless, boobs bouncing this way and that. Stupid, mindless and degrading. The adverts alone have put me off Nandos for life, never mind the chicken......

My partner and I dined at Nandos Northcote this evening. When our food was served, they had got our orders wrong. When I pointed this out they insisted my order was right and replaced my partners order with the correct meal. When we were leaving the lady who served us yelled out in front of every other diner that we owed her $1.60 as the meal they gave us as a replacement was more then we were originally charged. I said that it had been their mistake, but she insisted we had changed our minds after she had taken our order.
I am so disgusted with the way we were treated. I will be calling their head office tomorrow to complain. The lady who served us was so rude, and ruined our whole evening. Nando’s should think about hiring people who understand customer service, and that can actually understand the English language.
Nando’s used to be my favorite place to eat - NO LONGER!

I was reluctantly hauled over Nando’s threshold last night for the first time by a friend who had been before. This branch has been open for a few years now but I’ve always avoided it because I don’t generally enjoy eating at chain establishments. This place was beyond a joke. First of all, what on earth kind of place makes grown adults queue like kids for school dinners? Pathetic. The menu was limited, confusing and littered with puerile abbreviations which we had to summon one of the teenage staff to come and translate into proper English so we could understand what the hell we were ordering. With a due sense of dread I ordered something described as a ’prego steak’ with a ’reg side of fries’. Apparently the latter means a normal portion of chips. This cost extra, on top of the ?8 for the ’prego steak’. I dread to think what kind of an animal this alleged steak came from because it looked nothing like any steak (i.e. from a cow)I’ve ever cooked or eaten in my life. It was a kind of processed, pale grey lump of matter, slapped in a dry-as-dust bread cob and the ’reg side of fries’ consisted of about ten of those skinny chip things you get at McDonalds. They had clearly never been anywhere near a fryer and had been microwaved to death. There was a large selection of Piri Piri sauces to choose from, all of which were hot, hot and hot and simply added to the misery. I managed two mouthfuls before giving up in disgust. How can they justify charging those kinds of prices for such low-grade, inedible crap when a bistro in the next street can produce you a two course exquisitely cooked meal for ?10.95? I wouldn’t go to Nandos again if you paid me.

Got dragged along there once to be ripped off for poor quality food which you can instead get from one of the numerous chippies nearby for a fraction of the price and way better quality. The one time I did go though I got severe food poisoning and endured a week of agonising pain before I could make it out of the house to go to the doctors! Lost 1 stone in that week from being unable to eat anything and because of dehydration. I swear the only way you would know the chicken had been cooked properly would be to set the place on fire first and wait till it was nothing of it but cinders. Screw Nandos!

I worked for Nandos for six years. I opened a store up, I trained the franchise store owners up and what do you get when you leave mmmm nothing!
Over the six years when we opened more and more stores up we would first have a staff party. There would be free food and free drinks and it didn?t matter how old you where it was all free.
In the kitchen the state manager at the time who now owns a store openly smoked weed with all the other staff members.
Never go to a store first thing in the morning as all the leftover chicken from the night before will be re-warmed and used. The chicken livers never trust the staff to cook them as they take 15mins to cook and most staff would cook it for only 5-10mins.
The only reason I stayed so long is because of the staff that I trained, became friends.

When I was dating my husband, we would go to the Bundoora Nandos on occasion. One day we went there for lunch and while biting into my chicken, I noticed a PURPLE ooze coming out of the chicken. I spat it out, put it on the plate and pulled apart the chicken, only to find what appeared to be a thick blotch of chicken blood - baked into the chicken, but still runny. It covered the majority of the inside of my chicken, so I asked for a refund or replacement, and they gave me a tiny little chunk of ’chicken breast’, aka bones with a bit of skin on it. A completely disgusting meal.

I also used to work at Nando’s when I was younger.
We have never passed a hygiene test in the four years that I have worked there. Once, 10kg of raw chicken breast was dropped onto the floor at about 1pm, during the middle of our lunch rush and after we had all been walking around on that floor for at least 4 hours (think of how dirty it would be). Instead of throwing it out, the chicken was picked up off the floor and put straight onto the grill. It wasn’t even rinsed! It then went onto the burgers that we sold to customers. No one ever wears gloves, or puts their hair up. It’s disgusting.

Me and my partner succumed to nandos last night....what a let down....$62.20 later for 2 burgers and 3 little boxes of rice with 4 pieces of chicken on top...tasted ok but will never go there again..The chips mega size....$9.00 omg!Noodle box or kfc is sooo much better....was almost going to go to mc donalds down the road..wish I did but you have to try something new sometimes...never again with nandos, there was nobody even in the place but the one staff member...and a swear the microwaved something.I will not be paying that much for something that is going to be microwaved.Last complaint 4 chicken wings....$9.80!!

Will never go back there after cutting into one of their tenders and seeing it was raw. Not just pink, completely raw - still a jelly-like fillet. They (Australia on Collins store) wanted me to wait around while they re-cooked the same pitiful-looking piece of chicken, even though I explained three times I was at the end of my lunch break and had to leave straight away. And that they’d put me off their chicken anyway. So they just let me leave. Couldn’t even offer me a refund, how pathetic. I will never eat at Nandos again.

This place looks a lot tidier than other Nando places, and probably because it is quite new. The food was way over cooked and burnt. I ordered a whole chicken, the wings were hard and woody and the breast was dry. I don’t think I will go back again. For the quality of food that they provide, they are way too expensive.

I work at a store in nando’s and i’ve been there nearly a year! Our ’patrao’ is a joke and treats us all like second rate good for nothing citizens. On a trip back from Johannesburg by car, two colleagues and I stopped in Harrismith and all had Nandos. All 3 of us were violently ill within about 6hours and one of my older colleagues was hospitalised for two days. We were all man down for 3 days. Will never touch the stuff again.

I treated my sister & my 15yr old daughter to Nando’s after a shopping trip & I wish we’d never set eyes on the place! We shared a mixed platter & our main dishes were all different varieties of chicken wraps & all 3 of us were so ill with sickness & diahorrea we were in bed for 5 days but needless to say when I informed Nando’s they refused to take any responsiblity for this so therefore I’ve decided I’m gonna take further action! They must not get away with this kind of disgusting customer service (or lack of it)& as for the letter they sent me, well, I must say, it’s gonna look good printed in the Newshopper!

We went to Nandos lunch yesterday and the shop wasn’t very busy at all, but I had to wait over 15 mins just to place my order. I ordered a large chicken and chips, they couldn’t get the order right and they over charged me. Went to find a table and they all had dirty plates on them, as I said before it wasn’t even busy. We took a seat at one of the tables and asked someone who worked there if they clean the tables, which they just ignored. After sitting at the table for about ten mins, someone finally came over and cleared the table. After waiting for another 40 mins, and asking a few times if our meals were far off, they finally came. I started eating the chicken and then three guys came in started making trouble in the store and I got into a fight with them.

I went to Nandos Belmont WA to buy dinner...BUT they run out of chicken and have to wait for 45 minutes to be cooked. It was 6 pm (dinner time)in the end I bought KFC. It is a bit unbelievable Nandos could run out of chicken at dinner time....LOL.

I work at nandos and it is my worst job ever, I didnt know much about nandos and never even eaten there before applying i was just desperate for a job. i wish i had done my research. I cant stand a minute of it. the pay is awful for what you are asked to do....like cleaning sh*t off the toilette. i am leaving in a week because i cant take it anymore....tere are too many "assistant managers" waltzing around the place thinking they dont have to lift a frigging finger.

I worked at Nando’s in Kingsley as a kitchen hand for 3 years and then as a manager for 2. During my time I was paid next to nothing with no overtime, sick leave or holidays. Even as a manager I had no say in the day to day operations as head office controlled everything.
I remember one day as a kitchen hand we received a batch of chicken that was clearly out of date. I went to our manager at the time and told him I thought we should not serve this and should send it back but he said to just cook it up anyways.

Anyone who does not believe the staff are treated as second class citizens need to take note of what is being said here. I also work at Nandos, they seem to have a way to avoid paying staff anything other than minimum wage and no penalty rates. Although I work in a clean store with great staff members, I am embarrassed to serve a customer a burger which consists of lettuce, mayo one peice of tomoato and a small peice of chicken breast squashed into oblivion to make it cover the whole bun and all this at a highly inflated price. It cost us approximately $1.00 if that to make this burger and we sell it on to you the customer for $6.90. It is the staff that keep this company running and they treat us like dog shit on the bottom of their shoe. Yes Boycott Nandos but try to remember how badly the staff are treated if you happen to come across one of them having a bad day.

My first experience with Nandos in Penang was good enough to get me back. My second experience with Nandos in Rockingham W.A. was so bad that I’ll never go back. My 1/4 chicken was overcooked and so bloody small that I only got 4 small mouthfulls from it. The whole drumstick did not make a mouthful.
Service was ordinary but not bad considering what the poor suckers were being paid.
Shove it Nandos.

I work at Nandos, we are paid the minimum of minimum wages, and no penalty rates on public holidays or weekends but are told to keep smiling. Things very rarely get fixed. The customer is the leastnimportant thing to these morons and the staff are treated like sh*t. The store I work at has a high turnover of good employees. The district manager is a bitch who blows in every now and then without a smile and leaves a trail of disaster but still tells us to smile. I refuse to eat the shit even with my 30% staff discount as I refuse to support their ethics.

I was a manager at Nandos in North Vancouver and what a horrible bunch of people running the commissary and the head office.They expected me to work 16 hours a day for way below minimum wage,they would put extra(old food)product on my orders so they could come out looking sweet and my store would show profit losses so they could blame other people for their own shortcomings.Foul disgusting cheap sons of bitchs.

Been going to nandos in Fawkner for quite awhile when I was training at the gym heavly and really started to get to know everyone that worked there and stuff. You know u think its healthy so u eat it alot but then again its rubbish. Anyways the manager/owner started to get cocky with me and was asking my mates if Ive ever been bashed and if I need a bashing and started to put me down around my mates and my gf. They aint getting my money anymore.

I work for nandos and the reason so many of the staff dont care is purely for the fact the wage given for what I’m expected to do is just wrong. Coz of stupid bankers I cant find a real job so I’m stuck in a S**T place like nandos. There is nothing special about the resturant. Before I worked there Id never eaten nando’s and after I find a real job I will never eat it again. BTW the only nandos I eat is the food I prepare myself on a shift which is free. Oh and if I did buy it they give a poxy 20% off.

I started dating a waitress at Nandos, we got on really well and fell for eachother. Her manager that was also a personal friend out-side of work disapproved of our relationship. He took some serious steps to split our relationship up such as randomly confiscating her phone after her using her phone in work for 8 months. He rejected her holiday bookings to let me take her away, he constantly spread rumours about me to other staff.
The worst thing is, now he has barred me from the store so I can’t even go there for lunch with my work colleagues.
The majority of staff is polish and it is over priced. The food is good at Stevenage Nandos, the staff and price sucks though.

I was a manager for Nandos, where the policy was that we were family - if getting your famiy members drunk and sleeping with them is famiy policy. It's a good job I am not part of their real family. They abtain non halal chicken from other Nandos and when I questioned them I got set up. How ? They got asian staff to make complaints about my mangement style. That I was running shifts like an army camp and was fired based on bullying and harassment. I challenged it and took them to court for unfair dismissal. on our one and only visit to nandos we sat and waited for our food for almost an hour when a member of staff walked by our table he said they had no knowledge of our order of which we had already paid. when i sent an e-mail to complain they claimed staff had said food would be ready asap and a refund was offered ,both these comments were blatant lies and i find it most offensive.

I went to nandos in shrewsbury by recommendation of my m8 whom was taking me out as I am disabled myself and hardly can get out due limitations. Anyway I went to nandos in shrewsbury I thought the it was very crowded and a bit disorganised but I let it go as it was new years eve but when we got to our seats we wait just over half an hour for our food my vegetarian burger was fine my m8 had quater of chicken wing when he was just finishing his chickens wings off he saw the meat was raw and there was blood coming out of the chicken!!! but there is more to it get more crazy we called the waiter whom got the manager on duty called eric that night and he looked at the chicken did hardly say anything and apologised and he only refunded only part of my m8s meal as only two chicken wings were partly raw and blood was coming out too which to me was a joke and nor to my m8 whom had just eaten it. The so called manager clearly had no respect for safety of his customers or for food hygiene of food as I looked over to the people who were cooking were not paying full attention of what they were cooking or even washing their hands between raw and cooked foods they were talking about party’s and handling their phones between cooking food too they were not paying full attention to cooking the food correctly at all what really bugged me though as a trained cook whom has done nvq 1 in catering and also done my food hygiene course on a regular basis for 8 yrs I was reputably told the dangers of raw chicken and cross contamination of cooking raw foods or part cooked foods and even the risk of an elderly or child eat raw chicken of how ill they could be if they had eaten it while I was still eating my m8 and I looked dismayed am embrassed that after I had good meal he had brill at another nandos I saw staff and the manager laughing and pointing at my m8 and me properly because I reminded the manager of staphylococci and other infection and dangers of serving raw chicken out customers which he clearly tought it was funny and he clearly ether had not done his food hygene or he never respected the risked food poisoning imposed to customers and he had no concern that my m8 was given and eaten raw chicken he the manager clearly had no regard of dangers of food poisoning for my friend or even other customers in that night I totally shocked appalled of nandos and I hope health safety people will get enough complaints to close the Shrewsbury restaurant down and also others down too its just a matter of until a person whom is a as separable to infections and food poisoning to become very ill then it won’t become a laughing matter then so I vow never to eat at nandos again and I hope others reading this will do the same

I ate there. It’s disgusting. I ended up going back weeks later with friends and discovered little crawlies in the salad topping. I guess they didn’t wash it properly. When I showed the staff they claimed I brought in some small insects to eat for free. Yeah, right, I only had a small bite before I realised. BAD RESTAURANT. STAY AWAY UNLESS YOU DO NOT RESPECT YOURSELF OR YOUR BODY.

Do you know nandos is seelling for people almost water with lemon juice as a peri peri sauce? There is no real management. Food is always late. It smells bad. They add extra water to their cola that's why it tastes bad. Nandos Bahrain we wasted our money. All the food is very expensive. Go to hell nandos. We'll never go there again!

Once upon a time I bit the bullet and entered a branch of Nando’s. WHAT an experience, the only thing colder than the chicken thrown begrudgingly (BEGRUDGINGLY, as if they were loath to part company with the skin and bone they dress up as food) onto my table was the atmosphere between myself and my ex-girlfriend. In fact the comparisons don’t stop there; the glares and scowls from each and every underpaid and undervalued member of battery farmed staff were almost the exact mirror image of those being directed at me by my evening’s charming company...all I’d asked for was a glass of tap water...’you can get it yourself, from the bar’ growled the waitress and ex-girlfriend in almost perfect unison. Enough said.
The only positive I can take from the 45min of fat chewing was that it underlined a brilliant fact in one perfect motion - Nando’s and ex-girlfriends are on a par. An awful stinking, frostbitten par.
I wont eat there again.

Dan, who looked like he should be selling "The big issue", first overcharged me. When I pointed out his mistake he threw a tantrum then blamed me. He then refused to stamp my loyalty card saying he had already done it. When I asked another employee to stamp it instead they stamped it twice so I couldn’t claim a free 1/2chicken. Then he tried to accuse me of trying to scam them. I was fuming and left before I trashed the place in rage. Nandos is a disgrace.

I have been forced into going to Nando’s several times for work. Can’t believe I paid good money to que for 20 mins to order . No decent drinks, food was crap, etc. But all that aside. What is its appeal? A really one-track menu, over-priced and tacky unoriginal decor. What’s the fascination with this place. Thank god i have managed to persuede collegues to go somewhere else for the next night out. I won’t ever eat there again.

Looks good at first, but the service sucks. I’ve never seen a restaurant or even coffee shops where the waiter/waitress sit down and talk. When asked to do something, they just point finger at each other. Even the supposingly hot and spicy chicken didn’t taste anything close to spicy. What am I paying for?

I am so angry at nandos. The staff in the nandos near me were so rude and swore at my 8 year old brother, I later found out that evening. But where do I conplain? on the website which takes 10 working days to answer back but actually doesn’t!! All I know is that the managing director is David Niven.

Dark, and greeted eventually by ill tempered staff, I began to have my doubts.
For a start what kind of restaurant makes you walk to a counter and order your food?

First impression was good.. I like the environment at Nandos Melaka. When it comes to payment, the staff make a mistake by sending my table bill to other customer. And insist want me to pay by CASH! I bring credit card and do not have much cash. (this is what i told them) and without trying, they ’LIZA’ said that the Credit Card machine not functioning. And i just saw someone signing the merchant copy before me. DONT THINK CUSTOMER ARE STUPID! I make my payment and LEAVE! I WON’T EAT THERE AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I pledge to never eat at Nandos again. I ordered a quarter chicken and large chips with peri peri salt and I waited for almost half an hour before they even told me that my meal was on the way.. I WAS DISGUSTED. Even worse, the meal they served me after i waited tasted even worse. It was overcooked and the chips where soggy and did not even had the salt that I ordered. When i came back after tasting it there, i told them that I was not satisfied and they told me that it was not their problem. They did not live to up their slogan and i did not have a portugasm.

I don’t agree with the objectification of women or men as sex objects and I also believe that our children need protecting from a society that still hasn’t matured past titillation.
I am also curious as to where Nandos actually source their chickens. Unfortunately in this day and age what with these mass produced, fast food outlets we no longer respect our food. Imagine being a chicken in a factory farm, living in cramped conditions and then being shipped off to a slaughter house.....no thankyou!!!

I went to Nandos Chatswood a month ago, first they stuffed my order as I was saying it. I repeated it for 5 minutes as they mucked around on the computer/register machine. I got it, it was wrong. I waited another 15 minutes for them to fix it, they said I had to pay extra money. I kindly showed them their prices and how much I needed to pay!!
they finally got it right, I got home and the burgers had the wrong sauce on them. I couldn’t be bothered going back, the staff could barely string two words of English together it’s not worth my time.
Nandos sucks. Employing people that cannot grasp the English language in Australia also sucks.

Have been there 3 times and every time they stuff the order up!, If they turn the music down inside they may be able to hear what people are saying, or maybe it is the veils the girls are wearing on the counter. I was given the most driest cold chips, and was left with a taste of blood in my mouth. The meal portions are tiny, and I have seen more meat on a budgie. Pricing is a bit extreme for what you get, I think it is PERI PERI BAD. I have told every one I know of the bad service and lack of experience on the counter.

When i was in there, there were 2 girls who had ordered 2 large chips and i ordered 1 large chips. They came out with 1 large chips and automatically gave it to them. Then when they brought out 2 large chips we realised there had been some confusion and instead of making a new, fresh batch of chips for me, they gave me the one the girls had already started eating. I told the woman they had started eating my chips and she thought i said ’eat in’ so she put them in a bowl for me. i told her ’no, those girls started EATING my chips, can you please make me fresh ones?’ and she just went out the back and came back with a ’fresh’ bag of chips. They were definately the same ones.

Nandos over work their employees. You’d be suprised what goes on in the back kitchen.
My co-worker had a meal called back to the kitchen twice. He was so annoyed that he took the breast out of the burger and stepped on it. This ended up back on the plate for eating.
Interestingly enough, the meal never came back after that...

Today 5/7/09 we ate at Nandos Newmarket in Brisbane. Our orders #78 and #79 were mixed up and given to another table. After tasting their food they complained and sent it back. I approached the counter to check our order in time to witness the staff transferring the food into takeaway boxes. When I enquired about our order they presented me with the same take away boxes. I pointed out that we were eating in and did not want food that had been already served and partly eaten. They agreed to cook fresh meals. the order was again mixed up and the rice part was like a foul tasting porrige slop.

Nandos is too expensive. I orderd a quarter chicken and asked for mild chilli and HE DID NOT EVEN GIVE ME CHILLI. To make things worse I couldnt get a refund and the store wasnt busy. Nandos is RUBBISH, RUBBISH, RUBBISH.

i worked at nandos and i didnt know about the discusting ads, i feel like i was treated as a sexual advertisment for the pleasure of men. They only employ good looking girls with long dark hair, next time u c a store look in and u wil see what im talking about!

Chicken in Nandos was a bad experience - there was still blood on it. I complained about the fact that chicken is red. The reply from Nandos staff was: because it is flamed grilled. I replied ? now I know what killed that poor bird. I did get the refund though.

I used to eat Nandos and I still like the food. But since the portion sizes have got smaller and the prices have gone up so much I can’t justify the cost. I wont encourage corporate greed. There’s so many other, better value options out there. You’ve lost another customer Nandos.

This is not a gluten free product! They use the same hot plate for the basted chicken as well as their ’gluten free’ chicken. they do not always clean the hotplate between each order. How can they claim to have gluten free options when not cleaning between cooking? Of course a coeliac is going to get ill from the contamination.

a month ago, I found a bandage in the rice I bought from Nanndo’s. I took few pictures. In a report to health inspector they admitt it without any regret. They filthy restaurant to eat in. The report is available to be published on ths website and google as well.

I went to nandos today and ordered for two quarter chickens (1x-hot & 1medium), u cant beleive what i saw when i got to my office. two dried, tastless and uncooked. Not only that, the x-hot one was half of a quarter chicken and tasted very bitter and seems to me that i must have been a left over, it was a far cry from fresh. Goodge street Nando’s hell no, never again.

My partner works at nandos, just FYI they treat their staff like shit also, they pay their staff minimum wage and do not let them document overtime hours, they must START (not arrive) 15 mins earlier than the beginning of their shift, and sometimes finish up to one hour of their rostered time, and they are not allowed to claim this as overtime, they must SIGN ONLY WHAT TIME THEY WERE ROSTERED ON FOR.

I went to the Epping Melb store at Nando’ from the beginning the person serving me was very rude when i asked her to review the menu as my wife gets violently ill with hot food and wanted to make sure they didnt give her peri peri but lemon and herb she told me to be quiet and wait for her to finish entering the order and she still stuffed up the order nad put hot on my wifes meal.
I waited for 30 minutes for my order of 2 burgers and chips my order number was 150 they totally skipped my number and continued on till 153. I decided to bring it to the attention and they assured my order was next it went up to 158. I spoke to the the cook and he was making up these crazy excuses I told them what I thought got a refund after the cook kept insisting the order is ready and left. I went to the chickens shop next door and there was another nando’s disgruntled lady who said she waited 45 minutes and her chicken was half cooked. I WILL NOT EVER EAT THAT OVERPRICED CRAP CHICKEN AGAIN!

Well, all I gotta say is the whole Nandos Chicken image they portray here is so wrong. It's Indian chicken not portuguese. I can also guarantee you any given time you go at the back and it's full of filth!!... They know nothing about customer service and are just out to make profit. I used to love Nandos but noticed that the quality of their chicekn has been getting worse and worse. Obviously they have them supplied by farmers who intensively farm chickens, which is not only immoral but also you can really taste it. For this reason I avoid them now like a I avoid KFC.

Just for the record: I refuse to eat Nando’s, despite working there.
Audit Nando’s in every detail. The working conditions, health and safety, pay rates (which are PATHETIC!) and so forth.
I have sadly worked at two stores (owned by the same bastard greedy franchisee) since 2007. Its 2009 - and its time to crack heads (eggs even?).
Our boss pays managers (I am a manager) the same damn rate that one of the cashiers (who stands, takes money and wipes tables) and a back kitchen prep guy gets. What the hell?
I don’t have time to list all of the problems I face and my workmates face daily due to my boss’ incompetence/lack of a brain. I have had enough. I dare say that my current (soon to be ex-boss) boss will have quite a few lawsuits to deal with very shortly.
Nando’s as a whole is wrong. The concept is overpriced food with underpaid and overworked staff.
Tell me Head Honcho’s of Nando’s - how do you enjoy destroying the people who only wanted to be decent people and earn their living for your cushioned lifestyle. I have met you - and I am NOT impressed. You were both vaccuous BASTARDS.

Nandos treatment of the Portuguese people and culture is sickening. The Melbourne Cup campaign depicts Portuguese people speaking with Mexican accents and being of related Mexican culture.
I personally find it offensive and degrading that we have been portrayed in this way.

I was a former employee of Nandos. I know from first hand information that their products are unhealthy for you. They also portray that they are a family restaurant run by a family company. Recently their south melbourne store was fined $19,000 for running an unhygenic restaurant...even after headoffice knew about the state of the store.
To the author of this site...I can give you far more dirt on the company to help your site boycott nandos!!!

La Lucia Nandos, I lodged a complain 3 weeks ago on nandos website, and sunsequently some two weeks later received a call from a young lady who claims to be managress. She hummed and harred like a nursery school teacher. When I asked her for a refund she refused point blank. My reason that the chicken was very dry and tasteless. The portugese rolls were stale. It was supper for my ill wife who is a cancer patient. I WILL NEVER GO TO LA LUCIA NANDOS AGAIN. And guess what??? She said customer care will contact me and no one has since phoned me. I used to work there...the management were shit and treated their staff bad. I was made to clean the toilets, floors and tables while the management on floor duty just criticised the work I did. I’m never ever going to work there again, oh and the kitchen was disgusting too...raw chicken next to dirty plates..slippery floors covered in grime...yuk..and the vegetarian options being cooked with the same utensils as the meat options. I’m glad I left never to return, although they still owe money because some ejit manager couldn’t fill in the forms properly!

The people that work the marketing sector are abosolute F***heads, the stuff isn’t even funny it’s just plain old crap. I’ve also seen the shirts that the staff ware and they are rude uncalled for shirts - "I’ve done your chic"’, "I make the chicks hot". It’s just sad. Not to mention the clenliness of the stores. I’ve seen stys that are cleaner then what their back of hose kitchen looks like. It make me sick to the stomach that these people are still doing this kind of thing and thinking that it is acceptable.

I’m going to be as objective as I can here. As far as takeout goes, I have to say its not a great thing to have to serve customers. Some little shit once came in and started trying to throw his weight around because he was the customer. His only problem was that I was the cook and he picked a very nice girl to pick on. I boycott Nandos as its not a Portuguese restaraunt it is a South African restaraunt posing as a Portuguese, It rips of the authentic traditional portuguese Piri Piri sauce calling it Peri Peri thus steeling a heritage and getting it wrong. not to mention now selling this product in supermarkets and claiming to be the real thing, it is an insult, plus it gives you the shits so is a waste of ?10 and unless you like spicy chicken theres no point going as this is the only thing on the menu, spicy half a chicken, spicy whole chicken, spicy chicken burger, spicey chicken fillet burger, spicey chicken in a bun, spicy chicken in a bagel, hello originality please, and its not even as nice as KFC. which does give you the option of a salad at half the price.

i work in nandos part time. u guyz are using your employees, u pay minimum wage and u do 10p increase thats insane, u are taking an advantage of your employees, u are telling us ol this stupid rules each and every day, we run like crazy dogs 4 5pounds, im gona live nandos, il only eat in south africa never in london,we get customers abusing and shouting at us everytime,why should i risk mi life for five pounds, no ways, i used to like nandos not anymore, im gona quit

*WOO HOO!!!!!* FANTASTIC SITE! I was one of the many who complained to the Adv Board regarding the sorrowful Advertising & Marketing of this company. I could not believe that nothing was done!!!! Whoever started this site, I truly thank you, we all need to stand up for decency, values and respect. I do not want my children growing up with Nando’s as role models!!!!!!!!!! I vowed never to eat there again ages ago so you’ve got my pledge.

Our family changes the channel whenever that appalling Nando’s ad comes on. Safe to say we also go out of our way to avoid patronising Nando’s restaurants. As far as I can see the ad only serves to associate Nando’s in the public mind with vulgarity and smut.

Nando’s have reduced the terrible physical, emotional and sexual abuse suffered by women in the sex industry to little more than the butt of a bad joke. In doing so, they insult women everywhere.
To insinuate that working for any business owned by the underworld could possibly be empowering for women is completely irresponsible and insensitive to human suffering.
What next? Hilarious advertisements where daddy couldn’t get his Nando’s fix and rapes the little kid instead? Ha. Ha. Ha.

thanks for increasing the awareness of corporates like Nandos, behaving badly. As a father & parent, I am appauled about their antics and will be keeping my family well clear, I am personally boycotting Nandos, but what else can be done?

Just saw the ad for the first time. Talk about disgusting and totally degrading to women. Never going to eat there again.
As to the woman "producing" this...reminds me of something my own advertising lecturer proudly told me once. He created a very sexist campaign that ran in Melbourne, and said to me that "We only got it through because we hired a woman producer. She thought she was in charge, but of course we knew who was really pulling the strings!!" (snide laugh accompanied this ’confession’) Clever and sickening strategy - make the woman "own" the commercial, she will then push it for all it’s worth because her self esteem is caught up in it.

Their should be a seperate section for the Advertising Standards Bureau. They are a JOKE! What is the point in having a complaint system when 99% of the LEGIT cases are dismissed.
I agree, get the Politicians/Government involved. The decision is LUDICROUS.

I just went on the website..what the hell? It seems the ASB has a record of dismissing large amounts of complaints about sex, sexuality and nudity.
It seems to me the majority of the board members are from markerting/media backgrounds. What a coincedence!
I have an Idea. Why don’t we contact Today Tonight about the Advertising Standards Bureau and how the majority of their cases relating to gender portrail and sex, sexuality and nudity are dismissed. I want to know, if this ad is NOT considered demeaning to women or gender stereotype as well as featuring inappropiate nudity..i don’t know what is. I have lost faith in the advertising board. I am really concerned as to what message this is saying to the public and even more so, to the advertisers.
Let us take this public... Who agrees?

The nandos tv ad complaints have been dismissed by the Advertising Standards Bureau. Go and see what they say on their webpage.

I am SHOCKED the board found that this ad has NOT breached any codes...
Can the public do something else...to complain to a higher source..because this is an absolute JOKE!!!

I am in Melbourne and i rang up the Head Office of Nandos in Brunswick. The number is - 9384 0777. If you don’t live in Melbourne, ring your the head office in your state. Tell them you are NOT going to nandos to eat and boycotting them. Tell them you want an PUBLIC APPOLOGY for this disgusting portrail of women.

Hear -Hear!!. Its so good to see decency making a stand against the utter FILTH! that is all around us these days! Being a mother of 2 I was shocked and horrified at seeing such outrage. We did occasionally visit nandos as a family and I have to say that we most certainly wont be doing that any more. Keep up the good work!!!!
